A community of faith is comforting and calming because both "community" and "faith" are present. Without community people of faith can grow cold, like embers separated from one another. Without faith, people may reinforce fear, anxiety, or doubt when they are together. "We are not ashamed to have confidence, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Rom 5:5

It is interesting how much the Bible speaks to fear. Be strong and courageous, cast your cares upon the Lord, be anxious for nothing … God is beyond, and above, and has control over all things. Especially those that can make us afraid.
